LOGO CONTEST of National Radioactive Waste Coalition!!!

*** Deadline: Friday, April 30 by midnight (Pacific Time) ***

We are about to launch our National Radioactive Waste Coalition. The Coalition is made up of 37 environmental, anti-nuclear, and social/environmental justice groups in the United States to tackle the ongoing problems of nuclear waste — from production to storage.

AND WE NEED A LOGO!

Would you like to help?

We are seeking submissions for logos or logo ideas in an open contest. Everyone is welcome and we especially welcome submissions from the frontline communities that are most affected by radioactive waste policies of the United States.

As a startup non-profit organization, we are operating on a shoestring but have set aside $200 for the winning logo. The top 2 runner-ups will receive $50 each.

Send an email to: [email protected] with your name, phone number, affiliation (organization, school, frontline community, or indigenous community), and your ORIGINAL logo design (jpeg, png, gif, and pdf are all acceptable formats). All submissions must be sent electronically, but the design itself can be done in any medium – a simple sketch, drawing, computer-generated art, etc. In addition, please tell us a bit about yourself.

About National Radioactive Waste Coalition

The National Radioactive Waste Coalition (NRWC) works to bring attention to, and rallies for action around, the dangers of radioactive nuclear waste. We are working to permanently block the Yucca Mountain repository, to stop consolidated interim storage, to store high-level wastes as close as possible to their sites of generation in “hardened” safe-as-possible storage, and to reduce the inherent dangers of high-level wastes at decommissioned nuclear plants and other sites.

Through collaboration amongst our member organizations across the country, the NRWC is working to ensure the dangers of radioactive waste are managed in a responsible, equitable, and sustainable manner.

The Coalition is made up of environmental, anti-nuclear, and social/environmental justice groups in the United States.
