NUCLEAR PROGRAM
- Our “Don’t Waste Idaho” campaign successfully challenged and ultimately stopped the Department of Energy’s plan to bring 7,000 cubic meters of plutonium-contaminated waste from Hanford, Washington to Idaho
- Stopped the federal government from injecting hazardous and radioactive waste into the Snake River Aquifer
- Fought to ensure the public is aware of cleanup efforts at Idaho National Laboratory
- Prevented three proposed nuclear bomb plants and two proposed nuclear power plants from being built in Idaho
- Stopped a proposed plutonium waste incinerator
CLEAN ENERGY PROGRAM
- “Solarize the Valley” provided quality and affordable solar bids to more than 400 Treasure Valley families, helped more than 120 families go solar, and invested more than $2.5 million in the Treasure Valley economy
- Actively participate in Idaho Power’s long-range Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) Advisory committee promoting a rapid transition to a clean energy future
- Issued Idaho’s first report on how the state can end its use of coal-fired power generation
- Published a comprehensive report, Making a Difference: How Idahoans Can Work Toward a Clean Energy Future
