SUMMARY:Nuclear Fuel Chain Part 5: It's All About the Bomb
DESCRIPTION:Join us online Wednesday\, April 9th at 5:00 PM Pacific/8:00 PM Eastern for the fifth installment of our Nuclear Fuel Chain series: ‘It’s All About the Bomb’ with our esteemed guest Alfred Meyer. \nAlfred will present a provocative perspective based on his eye-opening article\, ‘It’s All About the Bomb: Why Civilian Nuclear Power is Merely a Cover for Producing More Nuclear Weapons.’  He’ll take us on a deep dive into our nuclear history\, challenging conventional thinking about the true meaning of Atoms for Peace and revealing the connection between nuclear energy and weapons. There will be time for questions and discussion afterward. \nRegistration is required. \nAlfred is a social activist who currently serves on the boards of two Physicians for Social Responsibility chapters – New York State and Wisconsin. He formerly served on the national board of Physicians for Social Responsibility\, and as Program Director for the Alliance for Nuclear Accountability in Washington DC. \nBased in Washington\, D.C.\, Physicians for Social Responsibility is a U.S. non-profit organization that advocates for the public health by addressing policies regarding nuclear weapons\, nuclear power\, nuclear waste\, climate change and toxic chemicals. \n \n REGISTER HERE
