We have several exciting events on the horizon and hope you and your friends and family can attend some or all of them.

Saturday, April 11: Eilen Jewell Concert hosted by We’ve Got You Covered at the Visual Arts Collective in Garden City

We’ve Got You Covered is a music series performed and recorded at the Visual Arts Collective six times a year. There is a Featured Artist for each show. The Featured Artist picks other musicians to cover one of their songs. The proceeds from the door go to a Charity of the Featured Artist’s choice. Eilen Jewell is the Featured Artist for April and she selected the Snake River Alliance as her beneficiary! Thanks Eilen, We’ve Got You Covered, and the VAC! More details on our Facebook!

Saturday, April 18: The Idaho Green Fest in Boise and the Portneuf Environmental Fair in Pocatello

We’re participating in these fun community celebrations of Earth Day. Please come say “Hi!” that day, and if you have time to volunteer and help us staff the booths, let us know! This is a great opportunity to learn, share, and have fun.

Wednesday, April 22: Electric Vehicle Charging Station Ribbon Cutting at Whole Foods in Boise

We have partnered with Whole Foods, Idaho Conservation League, and Idaho Power to bring another high-speed electric vehicle charging station to Boise. Come celebrate this big step forward in reducing greenhouse gas emissions at 11 am in the Whole Foods parking lot.

Thursday, May 7: Idaho Gives

Idaho Gives is a statewide, 24-hour giving day where people all across the state come together to support Idaho nonprofits through online donations. If you’d like to be in a short video telling us why you are committed to the Snake River Alliance and encouraging others to donate on May 7, 2015, please let us know!

Sunday-Wednesday, May 17-20: DC Days with the Alliance for Nuclear Accountability

Combining advocacy, networking, and fun, DC Days is a unique opportunity to learn how to effectively voice your concerns about nuclear weapons, power, and waste.  The Snake River Alliance will join 20 other allied organizations to meet with and educate members of Congress and the Obama administration. We are working hard preparing briefing materials for the participants and planning the details. Please make a special gift today to help make the 2015 DC Days a big success!

Friday-Saturday, May 29-30: Northwest Energy Coalition’s NW Clean & Affordable Energy Conference in Boise

At the NW Clean & Affordable Energy Conference, top energy experts from across the Northwest will address some of our region’s most pressing energy issues. One of these experts is our own Ken Miller, who will be discussing the need and cost of new transmission lines from 1:00 to 2:30 on Friday, May 29! This is your chance to network with policy leaders, decision-makers, and clean energy activists. There is a registration fee to attend, but scholarships are available through the NWEC!

As you can see, we have a lot going on!   We seek opportunities to reach out to the community and share our vision. Thank you for your support, and please donate today to keep the momentum going!
