The state’s largest electric utility told the Idaho PUC this week it saw a 12 percent increase in energy savings by customers participating in its efficiency and conservation programs in 2015 over 2014.
Idaho Power filed its DSM Annual Report to the PUC to report on its demand-side management, or energy-saving programs and participations over the past year.
“Idaho Power’s 2015 achievements in energy savings exceeded the annual savings target identified in Idaho Power’s 2015 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP),” the company said. “On a cumulative basis, the company’s energy savings have exceeded the IRP targets every year since 2002 when the Idaho and Oregon Energy Efficiency Riders began funding DSM programs.”
“We had another successful year in both saving energy and helping our customers use energy wisely,” Idaho Power Customer Relations and Energy Efficiency Manager Theresa Drake said.
