Privacy Policies

What do we collect?

In various places on our website, users may be asked to provide email addresses, phone numbers and other basic contact information to receive publications, alerts, sign up for services, volunteer or RSVP for events. We also gather contact information from online donors so we can keep them informed about our work. This website may set “cookies” for collecting aggregate statistics about the number of visitors, but does not store any personally identifiable information in cookies.

Our web-server logs track data on Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and the number of clicks per user so we can administer the site, analyze trends, and track aggregate user movements. Web server logs do not contain personally identifiable information.

How is personally identifiable information used?

The Alliance works with service providers to host our website and online communications. Third-party service providers cannot use or share any personally identifiable information that we provide. The Alliance does not share any personally identifiable information with other outside parties, unless we have received specific permission from you to do so.

How is personally identifiable information protected?

The Alliance takes caution to protect our users’ information on our website, and their information is protected both online and offline. When our website asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers), that information is encrypted and protected with Point to Point Encryption software (P2PE) and is compliant with all Payment Card Industry standards. We also protect user information offline. All user information is restricted to employees who need the information to perform a specific job. Our databases are password-protected to ensure that unauthorized users cannot access sensitive data.

Refund policy

The Alliance is a membership organization but donations are gratefully accepted from non-members that support our programs. Donations made in error can be refunded by contacting Merchandise purchased from the Alliance may be returned for a full refund within 30 days.
